Is the BBC micro:bit included in these kits?
No - both the Nezha Inventor's Kit and the Nezha Pro AI Kit are sold without the micro:bit board. They are built around the micro:bit (V2 recommended), which can be added to your order. We're happy to quote micro:bit boards alongside the kits for schools.
What ages and grades are these suitable for?
The Inventor's Kit suits beginners from around age 8 upward. The Pro AI Kit is designed for ages 7–14 and introduces AI and mechanical-power concepts. Both work well in primary and middle-school STEM labs, robotics clubs and makerspaces.
Are the bricks compatible with LEGO®?
Yes. The Nezha building system is compatible with LEGO® and Fischertechnik bricks, so you can combine kits with parts you already own to create larger, more ambitious builds.
How is the kit powered?
The Inventor's Kit's Nezha board has a built-in 900 mAh rechargeable battery - about 2 hours or roughly 3 lessons per charge, with over-current and short-circuit protection. The Pro AI Kit similarly powers its board and encoded motors for classroom-length sessions.
What's the difference between the two kits?
The 48-in-1 Inventor's Kit is the beginner platform - 400+ bricks, 48+ build cases and block-to-Python coding. The Pro AI Mechanical Power Kit is the advanced step-up: 500+ blocks, encoded motors, and AI voice & gesture modules that let students command robots hands-free. Many schools run both as a learning pathway.
What software do students use to program them?
Both kits run on Microsoft MakeCode. The Inventor's Kit also supports Python and JavaScript, so students can progress from visual blocks to text-based coding on the same hardware.
